Fees & Access
Therapy should not be reserved only for people with abundant financial resources. Comunidad Counseling Services is committed to keeping care accessible while maintaining a sustainable and ethical counseling practice.
Individual Counseling
Standard session fee: $130
Individual counseling sessions are scheduled for approximately 60 minutes.
When clinically appropriate, a session may extend beyond 60 minutes at no additional cost. Extended time is offered at the counselor’s discretion and depends on clinical need and scheduling availability. It is not guaranteed for every appointment.
All counseling services are provided virtually to adults located in Texas. Services are provided in English.
Free Consultation
A free 15-minute consultation call is available before scheduling your first counseling session.
The consultation gives us an opportunity to briefly discuss what you are looking for, answer questions about the practice, and determine whether working together may be a good fit.
A consultation is not a counseling session and does not establish a therapist-client relationship.
Sliding-Scale Appointments
Sliding-scale session fee: $45-$100
Sliding-scale appointments are available because affordability is a core commitment of Comunidad Counseling Services.
Availability may be limited. You are welcome to ask about current sliding-scale openings during your consultation. There is no shame in asking for a fee that is more manageable for you.
Private-Pay Practice
Comunidad Counseling Services is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly.
Superbills are not available, and services cannot be submitted to insurance for out-of-network reimbursement through the practice.

Payment arrangements will be reviewed before counseling begins.
Cancellation Policy
Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice and missed appointments are subject to a $45 late-cancellation or no-show fee.
This fee reflects the time reserved specifically for your appointment.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your care.
If you are not enrolled in an insurance plan, do not intend to submit claims to insurance, or choose not to use insurance for your care, you generally have the right to receive an estimate of the expected charges for scheduled services.
Comunidad Counseling Services will provide a Good Faith Estimate when required after counseling services are scheduled. You may also request an estimate before scheduling.
Your Good Faith Estimate will reflect the anticipated frequency and duration of counseling based on the information available at the time it is prepared. Because the course of therapy may change according to your needs and choices, the estimate is not a recommendation for a specific number of sessions and does not require you to continue counseling.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the bill.
